This policy explains how moderation works on SpyderRidersHub.com and how we maintain transparency, fairness, and safety.

SpyderRidersHub.com Moderation Transparency Policy

We want our community to be safe, welcoming, and trustworthy. These rules explain how moderation decisions are made and how we handle reports, content reviews, and disciplinary actions.

What We Moderate

Moderators review:

  • Forum posts

  • Comments

  • Messages reported for abuse

  • Marketplace listings

  • Club pages

  • RAN listings

  • Profile content

  • Uploaded images/videos

How Content Is Reviewed

Content may be reviewed:

  • Automatically (keyword scanning for harmful content)

  • Manually by moderators

  • When reported by users

  • During routine safety sweeps


Reviews check for:

  • Abuse or harassment

  • Illegal activity

  • Unsafe riding/mechanical advice

  • Spam or commercial misuse

  • Dangerous misinformation

  • Inappropriate content

  • Copyright violations

  • Safety risks during RAN or Events

Transparency & Fairness

We aim to:

  • Explain moderation actions clearly

  • Notify users when content is removed

  • Provide reasons for removals or warnings


Offer a way to appeal certain decisions

Types of Actions Moderators May Take

Soft Actions

  • Content warning

  • Temporary hiding of posts      awaiting review

  • Request for edits


Hard Actions

  • Post removal

  • Comment removal

  • Marketplace listing takedown

  • Club suspension

  • Temporary account restrictions

  • Permanent account termination (for severe violations)

Appeals

Users may appeal:

  • Account suspensions

  • Content removals

  • Restrictions

Each appeal is reviewed by a senior moderator or administrator.

Moderator Conduct

Moderators must:

  • Act fairly and consistently

  • Avoid conflicts of interest

  • Not target or retaliate

  • Respect user privacy

No Guaranteed Review Timeline

While we try to respond quickly, moderation actions and appeals may take time depending on volume.

Automated Moderation Tools

We may use:

  • Word/phrase filters

  • Duplicate posting detection

  • Spam detection

  • Safety scanners for images


Automated tools never permanently ban users without human review.

Transparency Reports

We may publish anonymized reports summarizing:

  • Number of removed posts

  • Reasons for removal

  • Number of appeals and      outcomes

  • Trends in rule violations
